A Feral Warriors Novel #4
Author: Pamela Palmer

His gaze skimmed over Olivia’s pretty face, dipping to her shoulders and lower, before returning to her eyes. “Did you dream about me, Sugar?”
“And why would I dream about you, Jag?  You’d have to cross my mind first.”

MY BOOK:

Some Like It Hot by Louisa Edwards
Release Date: Nov. 29th, 2011
St. Martin’s Press

Summary:

Sexy, single, and even sweeter than the treats he bakes, New York pastry chef Danny Lunden is trying to stay focused on food—not females. With the Rising Star Chef competition approaching, he doesn’t have time to get all steamed up over the gorgeous woman he encounters on the plane to Chicago. Even if she is Eva Jansen—the billionaire heiress in charge of the contest…

Danny assumes that “Eva the Diva” is a spoiled rich girl who doesn’t share his passion for food. But when the two meet up again in an elevator—alone—they share more than just passion. They share a kiss hot enough to start a kitchen fire—and they’re hungry for more. To indulge their new secret craving, Eva and Danny have to break every rule in the cookbook. But—like chocolate and caramel—some ingredients are are so sinfully good together, one scrumptious bite is never enough..

He wanted her.  And an innocent, oh-so-reasonable voice kept repeating in his head: Is it really so bad to want something for yourself?

MY BOOK:

Venomous by Christopher Krovatin
Locke Vinetti is a high school junior, disenchanted and more than a little hostile. In fact, for years he’s had a lousy social life because of a problem he has with his anger–a force he calls “the venom.” Ever since he was eight years old and bit off a piece of a classmate’s nose, he’s been something of a loner. But all that is about to change when he goes out with his one friend, Randall, to meet some of Randall’s crew hanging out at Riverside Park. Because in addition to meeting his kindred spirit, Casey–who has his own problems with his own kind of venom–Locke meets the spikey blue fairy-haircut Goth girl of his dreams. And if their relationship is going to work, he knows he has to rid himself of the venom once and for all. Interspersed with comic book adventures of the fantasy anti-hero alter-ego Locke has invented for himself, VENOMOUS is a fast-paced, funny, and ferocious read about one teenage boy’s struggle with his inner demons.
MY TEASER:

–I wasn’t the guy to piss off. Just like his little outburst took me off guard, he’s never met anyone else who’s felt the venom before, he’s only experienced it first hand.

This week’s Teaser comes from Ghost Town by Rachel Caine. Please keep in mind I’m reading an arc, so the dialogue might change in the final copy. Of course I had to include more than 2 lines to make it seem even more suspenseful!

Claire groped along the wall for a switch, and found one.
When she flipped it on, she found Amelie standing about one foot away form her, staring at her with wide, ice-gray eyes.  Claire yelped and flinched back against the door.  Amelie leaned forward, one palm against the wood to the side of Claire’s head.  With her right hand, she reached over and turned the bolt to seal them in.  Page 223 ARC print version
