SYNOPSIS:
In the college town of Morganville, vampires and humans coexist in (relatively) bloodless harmony. Then comes Bishop, the master vampire who threatens to abolish all order, revive the forces of the evil dead, and let chaos rule. But Bishop isn’t the only threat.
Violent black cyclone clouds hover, promising a storm of devastating proportions as student Claire Danvers and her friends prepare to defend Morganville against elements both natural and unnatural.
MY THOUGHTS:
This is the 5th book in the series of the Morganville Vampires. Even though I love this series, this is not one of my favorites. It seemed like a filler book to me. While the characters were interesting, the writing was excellent, and the book was fast paced, it lacked in the plot. The 4th book left us with a cliffhanger of a giant war happening in the 5th book. To me, there wasn’t much war. Mainly, all the characters running around trying to regroup and start a plan of attack. Then at the end of the book, the war happens briefly, and we are left with another cliffhanger that will throw you for a loop. I will say though, that I love the character of Myrnin. He is starting to really grow on me and show his own personality. Not bad for a book that sets us up for major change in the next one. I can’t wait to see what will happen next!
MY RATING:
Very Good! Worth Spending Your Money on!

I love this series. I actually am on this book. I have it on my book shelf waiting. I can’t wait to get back into the series. I see you said it’s more of a filler, but I just want to start reading this series again, maybe the next book will be better for you! 😀
Thanks!

Thanks for your honest review. I hate it when reading a series and having the next one be a bummer. Not really having an impact on the story and just limping along. Keep up your great reviewing. I enjoy reading your blog.
