SYNOPSIS:

The phenomenon that’s been sweeping the country seems to be here to stay.  Not only are the teenagers who have come back from their graves still here, but newlydeads are being unearthed all the time.  While scientists look for answers and politicians take their stands, the undead population of Oakville have banded together in a group they’re calling the Sons of Romero, hoping to find solidarity in segregation.

Phoebe Kendall may be alive, but she feels just as lost and alone as her dead friends.  Just when she reconciled herself to having feelings for a zombie — her Homecoming date Tommy Williams — her friend Adam is murdered taking a bullet that was meant for her.  Things get even more confusing when Adam comes back from the grave.  Now she has romantic interest in two dead boys; one who saved her life, and one she can’t seem to live without.

MY THOUGHTS:
After reading the first book in the series, Generation Dead, I had to hurry and buy the second book as well.  This book was just as good as the first book.  I love the character of Adam.  In this book we see Adam struggle with becoming a zombie and trying to decide if he should tell Phoebe how he really feels about her.  Phoebe is still dealing with her confused emotions over Tommy, but is starting to feel the attraction and love for Adam as well.  The whole teen romance between the two was enjoyable.  Both of the characters click well together on the pages and you find yourself rooting for the both of them.
We don’t get to see Tommy in this book, but we do get to hear from him through emails that he sends to Phoebe.  We learn that Tommy is okay and still traveling, but we also find out that he has found someone else to love as well.  We get to see a lot more of the other zombies that were introduced in the first book.  The ending was nice, but led you to believe that there will be a third book, which I cannot wait for!  I can’t wait to see what will happen to the zombies now and how the love will grow for Adam and Phoebe.

  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 0307458040
  • ISBN-13: 978-0307458049
SYNOPSIS:
I know you’re up in heaven, God,
and can hear my voice from there.
I’m just a little child.
Will you answer my short prayer?

So begins this delightful book that affirms God’s readiness to answer our prayers, no matter what our age.

With engaging rhymes and beautiful illustrations, This Little Prayer of Mine assures children that God is always near–watching, listening, caring, and eager to respond to their requests. They’ll also learn that prayer isn’t just about asking for things, but about sharing their feelings of sadness and uncertainty as well as of thanksgiving and joy.

Most importantly, This Little Prayer of Mine reminds children—and those who love them—that they can trust God to tenderly care for them, no matter what the future holds.

MY THOUGHTS:
My daughter loved this book. She wants me to read it every night before bed.  I liked the lessons it told and the writing was perfect.  It teaches kids about right and wrong, how not to be selfish, and other things while asking for God in prayer for guidance at bedtime.
This would make a perfect book for you to read to your child at bedtime.  The pictures were illustrated wonderfully and kept my child interested until the end.  A great book for beginner readers as well.

SEXAHOLICS takes readers through the outrageous experiences of four women on their long path to success.
MY THOUGHTS:
Wow. Ahem.  I am a fan of erotica reads, but this book went beyond that.  I will say that the author took a chance with this book.  It is going to be a hard read for some, including fans of this genre.  The characters of the book never captured my attention.  It could be because the book had more sex in it than a porn movie.  There comes a point when enough is enough, and this book reached it early on.  If you are looking for romance to go along with your erotica, then don’t read this.  This book was more about the down and dirty part of sex instead of the romantic sex you usually read about.  This is definitely a book for adults only.
