MY THOUGHTS:

Around Christmas I find myself reading more spiritually themed books than usual. I was curious to see what this author had to offer with the basis of transforming your life with prayer and spirituality.

I understand that prayer and faith can play a large part in your life. No matter what your faith is, prayer usually is part of it. I do believe that with prayer, anything can be possible. I belive that God will answer your prayers, but not in ways you expect sometimes. This book gave me the feeling that if I just pray, everything will happen the way I want it. Not so though. Prayer can’t fix everything. God is guidance and God knows what happens. Whether we pray or not.

Overall though, this was a good read for something quick and religious themed. The author writes well. The book flows nicely and is structured great. A book that I liked to read, but not something I would read over and over again.

MY THOUGHTS:

I never thought I could get into a Regency Romance. Well, I was wrong. This is not a new book. This a book that has been out for about 5o years, but still has writing that captured me and held my interest. The words are like poetry, easily flowing from one page to another. You forget how much of the book you have just read because it flowed so nicely. This author had incredible skill at writing and sent you on a trip back in time. The cover is gorgeous and you instantly get a feel for the book from the cover alone. I will be checking around for more books by this author.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
The late Georgette Heyer was a very private woman. Her historical novels have charmed and delighted millions of readers for decades, though she rarely reached out to the public to discuss her works or private life. It is known that she was born in Wimbledon in August 1902, and her first novel, The Black Moth, was published in 1921. Heyer published 56 books over the next 53 years, until her death from lung cancer in 1974. Heyer’s large volume of works included Regency romances, mysteries and historical fiction. Known also as the Queen of Regency romance, Heyer was legendary for her research, historical accuracy and her extraordinary plots and characterizations. Her last book, My Lord John, was published posthumously in 1975. She was married to George Ronald Rougier, a mining engineer, and they had one son together, Richard.

MY THOUGHTS:

When the author contacted me to review this book, I thought I would give it a go. I was getting tired of the same old vampire, werewolf, fallen angel paranromal books. They seemed to all be the same. I was surprised to see a new paranormal aspect dealing with snakes! WOW! This book had it all! Suspense, love, action, and yes paranormal snakes! I loved how we could see the story from different character points of view as well. So many times we are left with wondering what the other was thinking and going through. The author did a fantastic job of introducing us to a new paranormal subject that will leave you with a hunger to bite into her next story! The author has shedded the old skin of old paranormal and come out with a majestic world of a new realm of possiblilities!
