Hi everyone! Sorry for not posting these last couple of days. The flu got ahold of me and wouldn’t let go. Still feeling a little run down, but gotta keep going when you have kids at home. No rest for mommies!

So what has everyone been reading? For me, I have been reading my books for upcoming blog tours! Which in fact, I wanted to remind you all about the upcoming events for my blog!!

Tomorrow I have a Q&A session with Anna Campbell! She was gracious enough to answer some great questions for her readers! I will also be reviewing her new release Captive Sin. My blog is one of the blog tour stops and I am so excited! My first ever blog tour and I get to feature and amazing author! So be sure to check back for all the exciting stuff!

Friday I will be doing another blog tour and giveaway! I will be reviewing a new title by Elizabeth Hoyt titled To Desire A Devil. I will also be giving away copies of this great book! My blog is also featured on her blog tour and I super excited that Hachette Books gave me the chance to join in on it!

Then of course we have Halloween on Saturday! Any adults out there dressing up? I am! I am dressing as a sick mommy! LOL 😀 I am already looking forward to sneaking some of the kids’ candy when they aren’t looking! Shhh…don’t tell them that mommy peeks at there candy stash when they are in school!

I also am going to be featuring a Q&A Session with amazing author Michelle Rowen! She was also kind enough to answer some great questions for all of us! As soon as I get the date squared away and confirmed with her, I will let you all know by posting it in my sidebar!

I have some reviews to write up and want to share with you. So look forward to some new posts later today! Hope all is well on your end of the internet! Until next post….

The Handy Answer Book for Kids (and Parents) 2nd Edition
by Gina Misiroglu
Published by Visible Ink Press (October 2009)
Paperback, 352 pages
Reading level: Ages 9-12
Thank you to : http://onlinepublicist.blogspot.com/

SYNOPSIS:
Why do dogs bark?
Why is the sky blue?
Why?
Why…..?

Do you care for or have kids? Then chances are you’ve encountered the ‘Why’ query now and again. Maybe you know how tunnels are built, or how clouds float, but what if you don’t?

Well, lucky for you there’s The Handy Answer Book for Kids (and Parents). This book has the answer to those and nearly 800 additional queries with enough depth and detail to both satisfy the curiosity of persistent young inquisitors and provide parents with a secure sense of a job well done.

Written with a child’s imagination in mind, this easy-to-understand book permits kids to help themselves because it’s organized by simple topical chapters: Outer Space; Planet Earth and Our Moon; Creatures Big and Small; Plant Life; People around the World; Politics and Government; How Things Work; Math, Measurement, and Time; All about My Body; and Daily Life. This book invites parents/grandparents/caregivers to turn those uncertain opportunities into valuable one-on-one learning experiences.

MY TAKE:
As a mother who has a four year old daughter at home, this was a book I needed when my other two daughters were this age. This book has almost every question a young child will ask you growing up! Some of the questions were common and some had me laughing so hard my side hurt! Great for the child stages of who?,what?,when?where, and how?
Here are just a sampling of questions that were in the book:
What are boogers?
Why do we pass gas?
Why do we burp and hiccup?
How old is Earth?
What airport is the busiest in the world?

This book has the funny questions, the red face questions and all the science questions we don’t know how to answer. This is one book that will be on my bookshelf that will be passed to my kids when they have kids of their own! I loved this book!

MY RATING:

Outstanding Book That Will Stay On My Bookshelf For Rereading!
