If you are a follower and/or regular reader of My Overstuffed Bookshelf, then you may have noticed the lack of posts this month. On the first of the month, something happened in my personal life that set me back in the blogging and reading world. Something that can be easily guessed, but not something I feel ready to share the details of just yet. I will say that it was completely unexpected, very hurtful to my family and I, and something I hope no one has to go through.
What happened personally, also tossed my reading into a stumbling free fall. I have not picked up a book in over a week even though I desperately want to dive into them again. I admit what has happened has put me in a depressive mood and the reading is an uplifting experience that seems too far away to reach right now.
I want to say thank you for sticking with me. For continuing to follow the blog. I will be back to writing reviews as soon as possible. I am having to take baby steps in returning, but I am hoping you will continue the journey with me in returning to my old self and to you.

I hope you and your family are okay and I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you during your times of difficulty. I also had some personal issues that threw me for a loop over a year ago which also threw my whole world upside down, never mind my blogging world, but it also put a lot of things into perspective as well, which is why I have barely posted the past few months. Best wishes to you and your family!!

Whatever it is, I hope that you are able to move on from the hurt you’ve been dealt. Reading is one of those things that helps us just to get away for a little bit. I look forward to your posts when you do make it back! 🙂
