MY THOUGHTS:

This wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be.  It had its moments of been-there-done-that but not as funny as the back of the book tries to make it out to be.  Wouldn’t be a bad read if you are in a relationship or not, and would be okay for a quick rainy day read.  It’s full of tidbits that most couples already know or go through.  Not too much depth to the book, so it certainly isn’t a book to get your mind working. Just a fun quick read in my opinion.

SYNOPSIS:

MY THOUGHTS:
I love Tory Richard’s writing. She is a true gem in the vast sea of writers. I was excited to get started with this book.  I enjoyed the characters of Maggie and Matt, but the book just didn’t flow right for me.  It seemed to skip around alot. One second you are in one place, and then within a few sentences you are in another without a break between.  If you can overlook that detail, then the book was good.  The characters had spark, it had plenty of yummy sex scenes that will keep you hot and warm, and the plot of the story was cute.  Even with the jumping around in story, I found myself liking the chracters of the book.

MY THOUGHTS:
If you are looking for a steamy read, a little suspense, and an easy read, then this is the book. The sex scenes were steamy and hot.  The author offered some suspense with the diamond stealing and stalker. The plot was pretty bland though.
I loved how we got a small glimpse of the hero’s life when he was little at the beginning of the book. It made his obsession with the heroine believable.  What I didn’t like is how the hero portrayed his feelings for the heroine as more lust than love.  The story is predictable.  The ending is predictable. But, if you look past that and read it, the book was pretty good.  I enjoyed their dialogue and the way he was protective of her.  I love how the heroine has overcome grief and still made a life for herself.

He feels they watch over him every day.
He now lives in Florida with his wife, Kathleen, and his two sons. Unlikely Angels is the first of many novels we can expect from Michael O’Doran.
MY THOUGHTS:
Don’t you just love this cover? It is so sweet with that innocent baby and the wings of the gaurdians on it!
With realistic situations and well written dialogue, this book is a sweet read that will touch your heart. The characters are great and they will keep your interest throughout the book. You will go through many emotions when reading this book including love, hate, frustration and sadness.  The only thing I didn’t like was the way the POV was written.  I would have liked it to have been one character throughout the book.  Also there was alot of detail and not enough dialogue.  Otherwise, it was a great quick read.

MY THOUGHTS:

Around Christmas I find myself reading more spiritually themed books than usual. I was curious to see what this author had to offer with the basis of transforming your life with prayer and spirituality.

I understand that prayer and faith can play a large part in your life. No matter what your faith is, prayer usually is part of it. I do believe that with prayer, anything can be possible. I belive that God will answer your prayers, but not in ways you expect sometimes. This book gave me the feeling that if I just pray, everything will happen the way I want it. Not so though. Prayer can’t fix everything. God is guidance and God knows what happens. Whether we pray or not.

Overall though, this was a good read for something quick and religious themed. The author writes well. The book flows nicely and is structured great. A book that I liked to read, but not something I would read over and over again.
