Can you believe all the new releases coming out this Tuesday! I am so excited about a couple that I can barely wait to get my hands on them! Here are a few that will be out Tuesday, August 25th. This is not a complete list! Just a few that I have been waiting for!

Pleasure by Jacquelyn Frank
This is the third book in the Shadowdwellers series! This book is actually two books in one! The first will be Sagan’s story then will come Malaya’s story. You will finally get to see what happens between Malaya and Guin! I have been wanting that story so bad! FYI: If you go to Ms. Franks website, she let’s us know that she is currently working on the 6th book of the Nightwalker series. I thought to myself who is left? Then BAM! She tells us it is going to be Jasmines story!

The Darkest Whisper by Gena Showalter
Finally a new Lords of the Underworld book! I admit, I bought the ebook she had out titled The Darkest Prison. It came out not too long ago as an ebook only. What it was, was a teaser! It gave us a short story just to keep us waiting for the next book! FINALLY a new, full length Lords book is arriving! Trust me, if I see you at the book store, and you are grabbing the last copy of this, I will knock you down and grab that sucker out of your pretty little hands! LOL! That is how bad I have been waiting for this book! Again, click on the book for all the details!

Intertwined by Gena Showalter
Yes! Another book by Gena on the same day! This is her highly anticipated new Young Adult book that she is so proud of! I can’t wait to read it even though it is a YA read! I have read the preview and it looks like a great read!

Blood Promise (Vampire Academy Series #4) by Richelle Mead
I admit. I haven’t read any of this series yet but now that I have seen some previews of this book, I want to buy all of them. Or if anyone wants to donate them to the blog just email me..hint,hint…lol…Just click on the book!

Later I am going to try and work on a detailed list for new releases for the end of August and for Sept. This will take a bit so I don’t expect it to be posted until tomorrow evening. So check back for that.

Until next post…

I was so excited to finally get this book from my local library. I had heard such great reviews for it. Now, I am disappointed. I just could not get into this book. After the first chapter, I finally just put it in my library return pile. There was too much history lesson, people with strange names, and nothing to really capture my interest to keep me reading. It is set in the early Medieval times.

My Grade for this book: DNF (did not finish)

General info about book from author’s site:

In a time of chaos, darkness, and violence it is better to live only in the moment, lest your memories eat you alive.

What a week for books! I wanted to share with you what I received in the mailbox this week or found at our local stores.

I received these today from Anna from the contest I entered!! It was my first win and I totally did not expect the extra goodies of bookmarks. Thanks so much Anna!

Earlier this week I went shopping with my mom and found these at our local Goodwill! 80 cents each!! Amazing what great books you can find at the thrift stores!

Then to top it off, My hubby and I went to our local Dollar Tree and found these! OMG! They had some of my favorite authors! And in case you don’t know, everything at Dollar Tree is only $1!! Can’t beat that!

If my bookshelf doesn’t hurry and get here, my nightstand is going to collapse!!
My TBR pile is growing very quickly!

Marked is the first book in the House of Night series. PC Cast and Kristin Cast worked together writing this book and boy did they do great! This book pulls you in from the first chapter. It starts out at a normal high school, when the main character Zoey, is marked by a tracker. Once a person is marked they must go to lice at the House of Night school or die. Most people would want to stay with their parents but Zoey actually sneaks out to go because she can’t stand her spineless mom and her over bearing stepfather. Zoey soon realizes that the Goddess Nyx has given her special powers, also causing her to be an oddity at her new school with a different mark than others. Soon she realizes that the Goddess has given her these new gifts to stand up to the head of the Daughters of the Night, which is like a sorority at this school, and make the school a better place for new vampyre fledglings. But does it come with a cost? Well, you will have to read the book to find out because I am not about to give away the spoilers!! This book has opened my eyes even wider to the Young Adult sections in the book stores and libraries.

My Grade For This Book: A+
House of Night Website

Back of Book:
Enter the dark, magical world of The House of Night, a world very much like our own, except here vampyres have always existed. Sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird has just been Marked as a fledgling vampyre and joins the House of Night, a school where she will train to become an adult vampire. That is, if she makes it through the Change–and not all of those who are Marked do. It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no average fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampyre Goddess Nyx. Zoey discovers she has amazing powers, but along with her powers come bloodlust and an unfortunate ability to Imprint her human ex-boyfriend. To add to her stress, she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers: When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school’s most elite group, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny–with a little help from her new vampyre friends.
