SUMMARY:

She may be his destiny, but she’s not his first choice…

Hospital nurse and newly turned red werewolf Carol Woods is being pressured by her pack leader to find a mate, but he’s the only guy in the pack who remotely attracts her.
Why is he playing so hard to get?

The fate of the pack rests on his shoulders…

Gray pack leader Ryan McKinley doesn’t want anything to do with Carol unless she’s willing to embrace her wolf nature-no matter how beautiful she is.
But when a virus infects the local lupus garou pack, Ryan realizes just how wrong he’s been not to seize the moment with the woman he’s come to love. And now, it may be too late…

MY THOUGHTS:

What more can I say about this author and her books?  I love this series so much! With each book, the author brings new life to a commonly used theme of werewolves.

Carol is a newly changed werewolf who just happens to have psychic abilities.  She used this ability to fight off the change of becoming a wolf.  Carol hires Ryan to be her bodyguard since she was almost kidnapped.  This sets up the scenes of future romance that sizzles!

I loved Ryan! I desperately wanted Ryan and Carol to have a happily ever after. I found Ryan to be a great Alpha with sex appeal to boot!  While Carol tries to convince Ryan of her gift, he tries to convince her to accept her wolf form and begin the change.  When Carol’s fears of not being able to change back to her human form start to prove true throughout the pack, everyone counted on Carol to help them.  This helped to include Carol as the Alpha heroine.  I loved the suspense and the plot, even if I did feel that the suspenseful part of the story was slow in coming.

Another book in the series that needs to be on your list to buy next! If you haven’t started the series yet, you are truly missing out on a wonderful bunch of wolves and writing!

MY RATING:

Very Good! I would recommend this book! 4 STARS
