SYNOPSIS:

Maggie Myers returns home to rebuild her life and to escape her stalking ex-husband. To local small town sheriff Matt Dillon she’s more trouble than he needs. But the lady has enough sass and curves to tempt a saint. Well, he never claimed to be a saint, and Maggie is about to find out she’s been teasing the wrong man.

MY THOUGHTS:
I love Tory Richard’s writing. She is a true gem in the vast sea of writers. I was excited to get started with this book.  I enjoyed the characters of Maggie and Matt, but the book just didn’t flow right for me.  It seemed to skip around alot. One second you are in one place, and then within a few sentences you are in another without a break between.  If you can overlook that detail, then the book was good.  The characters had spark, it had plenty of yummy sex scenes that will keep you hot and warm, and the plot of the story was cute.  Even with the jumping around in story, I found myself liking the chracters of the book.

SYNOPSIS:

Chief Tall Bear is shocked when he learns of the stolen lady in his teepee but cannot overcome the pull she has on him once he meets her. He knows her presence will bring trouble to his peaceful village but cannot keep himself from her. From her long dark hair, to her deep blue eyes, he is pulled to her like a bear to honey. He is determined to have her. Both in his bed and in his life.

After a lifetime of beatings at the hands of her father and his ranch hands, Cecily Smith has been rescued, or kidnapped. Either way, she is grateful. Especially when the man they called Chief Tall Bear presents himself to her. Unable to explain or contain the odd rush of emotions flooding her, Cecily finds herself aching to learn all that Bear has to teach.

MY THOUGHTS:
I love this author. She just has a way with making her words come alive off the page.  I was a little hesitant to read this book though.  Books about Indian Chiefs and such were just not my cup of tea.  Then I remembered that Ms. Bush is a great author of romance.  I gave it a go and was genuinely surprised to have enjoyed it.  It’s a wonderful love story that will leave your heart aching to read more.  Each character has their own personal struggle and personalities that will keep you entranced throughout the wonderful story.  If you are hesitant about this sort of story plot, don’t be. The author stays true to her writing and lets you sit back and enjoy the love that flows from the pages.

SYNOPSIS:
Dating in high school is like reality TV. It can get pretty surreal.
Between the strict social ladder (geeks’ lockers left, jocks’ to the right), and silly, pointless rules (no hand-holding, no kissing, no breathing!), high school is the single worst place to find a boyfriend. And Laura Sweeney is no exception. She hasn’t had a date since…well, ever.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. So Laura is calling in the big guns. She needs guidance. A proven “get the guy” strategy. Luckily she knows exactly the expert to call. He’s a matchmaking mastermind who actually has the bow and arrow to prove it. Let’s just call him…Cupid.
MY THOUGHTS:
When I picked this book up from a used book store, I thought the cover was playful, the synopsis was cute, and I thought it would be an all around good book. While the plot seems like it would be a cute read,  the story was not as great as you would think.
It starts out as a good read.  Then, about halfway through the book, it just gets to corny and dumb. It was a shame, because the author could have made this story so great.  I just couldn’t bring myself to care what happened to any person in the book.  You see her best friend only a couple of times and the Gods are just ridiculous!  The writing is repetitive and drawn out, and the characters are shallow at times as well.
Overall, this book would fair better with a pre-teen reading it than a young adult or adult. They might enjoy it more.
MY RATING:

I did not enjoy this book.

THE WERESNAKES ARE COMING!!!!!!!!!
Have you heard about the new paranormal romance by S.A Price?
Vampires? Nah.
Werewolves? So overrated
Were snakes? OH YEAH!
After reading Entwined by Fate, you will be begging to find a snake coiled in your bed at night if it is anything like the weresnakes in this new book by S.A. Price!!! You can read my review here.
Stella was kind enough to answer some questions for us and offer a great giveaway to one lucky person who comments on this post! So let’s get started with the Q&A first!
With all the new paranormal reads out there, what made you decide to step out of the box and use snakes?
The main reason is that Audra and I are not big fans of werewolves. Any we have in our books are butchered brutally, because we both believe theres nothing sexy about the wet dog smell, or their volatile nature. Both of us are snake lovers, and snakes are considered the world over to be some of the most beautiful, sexy and deadly things ever created. It only fit that we write about them.
How much research did you have to do for all the different snakes?
A lot actually. Audra and I have been snake parents for a long time, so we have been working out on this for ages. For the terms, and the society, we pulled the info from real snakes and how they work when in a social setting. It is all pulled from mythologies and actual facts, which is why it works so well.
Which snake captivated you the most? Or should I say character?
I do love them all, but I have a soft spot for Homer. Hes.. well hes just an all around hot guy with a good heart… and venomous fangs LOL.

Is there going to be a sequel to this book?
Yes. Actually there is 4 or 5 books, we havent decided yet. Book two is Homer and Eve’s story.
Do you see other authors trying to step out of the usual paranormal box like you have?
a few, but most stick with what they like and know. Its the same with us, we write what we know and like. A lot of people are entranced with the Wolves and Vamps. Aud and I kill them off in our books because we have a much bigger freedom writing Snakes, satyrs, djin, Ifrit and demons..

Thanks so much for having me here!
